Mihir Nanavati is a postdoctoral researcher at Microsoft Research, New York. Prior to this, he was at the University of British Columbia where he was advised by Andy Warfield and Bill Aiello. He is broadly interested in systems and has worked in the areas of scalable multicore systems and caches, virtualization and application sandboxes, and high-speed networking and non-volatile storage. He has also collaborated with genomicists on building highly scalable genome analysis pipelines and is interested in issues surrounding security, privacy, and anonymity.
