How can research uniquely contribute to gaming and how can gaming inform research agendas? This workshop aims to tackle this important question of how to accelerate impactful gaming integrations that enable researchers to build, measure, and learn rapidly. The Gaming and AI RIA proposes to work towards a common benchmark for the research and gaming ecosystem by creating the Xbox Learning Environment, a research test suite that collects gameplay data across many modern Xbox game titles. The purpose of this workshop is to gather the Gaming and AI RIA project members and researchers who work on games to brainstorm, discuss, and collaborate on new and exciting ways we can leverage the Xbox Learning Environment for greater impact.

This workshop will air in two time zones:

  • Wednesday, October 26 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (PDT) / 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (EDT) / 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (BST) / 12:00 AM – 4:00 AM (CST)
  • Thursday, October 27 from 1:00 AM – 5:00 AM (PDT) / 4:00 AM – 8:00 AM (EDT) / 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (BST) / 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (CST)
